The Micro Ring Method
The Micro Ring technique is generally considered to be the smallest and most undetectable Hair Extension technique available, which combines soft or fine strands of natural hair with the extension hair. As there is no glue, sewing or braids involved there is no damage to your own hair. Micro Ring extensions should last three to four months before needing to be removed, reinstalled or tightened.
This technique can be done on all types of hair. The copper rings are available in different colours and are covered with plastic providing a comfortable cushion for the hair. The rings clamp securely in place and will not slip out even during the most challenging of activities. Those who have worn micro ring extensions attest that they are comfortable day-to-day and the hair stays in place until you remove it.
Shrinky Method
Shrink-links are small tubes with a keratin coating inside the tube, they work by heating the tube with a special tool and they shrink when the heat is applied. To start with I take a small section of your natural hair and thread the shrink link onto it, I then take the pre bonded extension hair and slide that into the shrink link then apply the heat tool to the shrink-link, this then shrinks around all of the hair to form a small bond. This bond is water sealed and therefore has great lasting power.
Shrink-links are a great way to install the extensions as you have little shedding and usually you will require little, if any maintenance for the 12 weeks. This is my personal preference in applying the extensions as I feel that this is the best and most problem free technique, I also have the shrink-link method in my own hair.
Hot Fusion Bond
Very secure method lasts around 3 months with correct maintenance and care. Hair is pre-bonded with keratin before it is applied as an extension.
This is the best adhesive and will cause no damage to your natural hair.
Each individual bond is applied to your own hair with heat, producing a fused bond.
